Why golf is much harder than track

Ah yes. The question that everybody needs answered (mostly me, but only because some people won't shut up about it). Let me start by saying that this is not directed to all the people in track, because ninety-seven percent of them are actually really chill and non-chalant. This is only directed to that three percent that make a big deal that track is literally the hardest sport known to man-kind( cough cough Athrv Siriki and Yusuf Tariq and some other people I won't name cough cough).

First let me start off with the game itself. Track is typically two-or three events WHICH YOU PICK and you run and try to have the fastest time. Golf, however, is a random 18-hole course that has different types of atmospheres per hole, one hole could be over water, one could be uphill, one could be through some trees, etc. The goal of golf is to have the lowest number of shots after 18 holes.

Another thing is when these events occur. Track is mostly is the afternoon or evening, maybe around 10:30 minimum give or take. Golf is played before sunrise, before the roosters start to crow, and before literally any human being waking up. Right then and there is a disadvantage, you just woke up all sore and body hurts and now you have to play 18 grueling holes for almost 4 hours carrying a 35 pound bag.

If this still doesn't convince you, I have some more evidence. On GolfProfy it takes an estimated one to two years for a beginner to become an average golfer, which training and the equipment, without proper training and equipment around 6-7 years. That is a long time just to be average at Golf. Now track on the other hand is much more different. One of my close friends wanted to do track because he was the only one in our group who wasn't in a sport. He had no past experience with track, and was definetely not considered fast or had high stamina. But, by training by himself for about 3 months he was able to make the THS track team. Another one of my friends who didn't train at all and was actually cut from the team last year and only tried out because he could also made the team, along with another one of my friends.

Overall Point

Track and golf are two different sports, but for people who don't have another sport to play can do track and have a much higher chance of actually making the team. Oh, and just for some extra information to further piss off the track kids (tested by me and the bros) if I were to run track I would sprint, my times for these: 55 m -6.8 sec, 100 m - 11.35 sec, 200 m - 23.35 sec. I don't know what any of this means so track kids if this is bad feel free to let me know, but I think they are semi-decent, at least in my opinion.
