Golf is an extremely unique sport. On the left side that's me, playing for the JV team at Troy High. Now if you knew me really well, you would already know this. If I got a quarter for every time someone gasped at the fact that I play golf, I would be #1 on the Forbes List. You never expect anyone to play golf, because cringey TV Shows and 2000's movies taught us that Golf is played by the rich, old, and white men. Which is true, but they aren't always white, or rich, or old. Golf can be played by anyone of any age, from 3 to 93. Any ethnicity can also play golf, from white people to African Americans to Asians. That's the beauty of golf, anyone from anywhere at any age can play it.
Now, let's get into the interesting stuff. There is always four types of golfers. The serious ones who will beat themselves up after a bad round, the cool chill guys that have the most fun on the golf course, the ones who have no clue what golf is and don't care, and the ones who know golf exists but don't really care. But, there is the one special one that I know too much about. The haters, also known as the hecklers. They know golf exists, but they always heckle the sport, saying stuff like "Oh golf is so easy all you are doing is hitting a ball." NO THATS NOT ALL YOUR DOING GET A LIFE!! Anyways, they also take over the internet quite a bit. One of my friends sent me a message a while back that still pisses me off till this day.
First of all, I have to give credit where credit is due. This is a high quality meme. Second of all, it is true for some reason. Not the leveling kilometer part, that is most definitely not true, we love the environment we would never try and destroy it:). Top Ten Most Boring Sports - TheTopTens, says that golf is number one. This is 100% a lie. Golf is way more interesting when you start to watch it. I mean, seeing players absolutely climb up the rankings with one good game and plummet down with one bad game gives anybody an adrenaline rush just watching it. To add on to what these guys said, golf is not just hitting a ball with a club into a hole. It is much more than that, with all the math behind it, and the pressure it becomes an extremely intense sport.
The Proposition...
Even after reading all of this, and you still think golf is an easy sport let me make a bet with you. If you play me, one hole on an actual golf course, and you post a lower score than me, I will give you a dollar, nothing more because I am broke. But, if I beat you, you can not talk trash about golf anymore, because you just proved that it isn't that easy. Either step up or stop talking, your choice.
